Growing up with my mum listening to Cat Stevens, I love his music and suddenly saw he was doing a tour and only 2 nights in London!!! so I sacrificed Bonfire Night festivities for his concert and took my mum as an early Christmas present for her. It was an amazing gig and he is a true musician, even more amazing was he sounded just like he does on the CD's and yet years have gone by. My secret is that i've never even been to a gig before so this was a pretty big deal and we had amazing seats. Merry Christmas mum. x

I bought a ton of merchandise, 2 T-shirt, keyrings, Programme and Poster, got abit carried away. But my love of 70's gear made me get these T-shirt- pretty cool yeah??
One section in the programme really resonated with me :
"Having left the music world in 1979 to rebuild his life and rearrange his priorities, Yusuf had no time for music and it was clear to him that the music business was a pretty wobbly place for a new born soul learning to walk a straighter path. So he hung up his guitar and started to concentrate on his faith and family. As Yusuf explained, ' I just took a break, 'till i knew better if or how music could fit into my new life." The entertainment business is hard, and I often find it hard to keep being myself without being steamrollered by more pushy, hard headed, and ruthless people who are just unkind because they are unhappy. I am happy and I will not change the person I am.

 It was the smallest room and cost £180 but it was so worth it, mum had an amazing time and the location couldn't be more perfect; right by the V&A and other museums, easy for the tubes and shopping on the Kings Road and Kensington High Street, and just the most beautiful street with such friendly and helpful staff.

A beautiful sunny day spent wandering around the Blumenfeld Photography Exhibition at the Courtauld in Somerset House which I decided to go to after watching a fantastic BBC4 programme all about his life. Cystic Fibrosis

2 weeks ago my son was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. It was devastating. The 2 week window after the heel-prick blood test results had passed, so I was feeling happy we had 'no news was good news'  when the health visitor called up and requested my husband and I be around in the morning as people from the lab wanted to talk to us. "they prefer to speak to both parents". I kind of knew there was going to be unexpected news. The health visitor and a nurse arrived at our flat, sat us down and quickly told us that he had high levels of something from the heel prick test and wanted us to come in and talk to the doctors. It felt like a concrete slab had been whacked in our faces and we were both distraught both during their visit and after. They had made us an appointment and a few hours later we went off to the Royal Marsden Hospital for Henry to have a sweat test done to definitely confirm he had the illness. How are you coping with isolation? How are you coping with the threat of illness? How are you coping as a single-parent. My son is 'very high risk' due to Cystic Fibrosis and I have found it challenging to narrow down what this means to us while also nervous to write honestly about this time. Initially I was in blind panic mode. Nobody seemed to be taking this seriously, some children were taken out of school, others weren't, stockpiling was happening, antibac wipes/gel/spray prices skyrocketed, marathons were going ahead while others were closed down. I decided early on to take my son out of school a week before they closed. His condition means his lungs would be seriously affected by any respiratory infection, but the advice from the NHS was to bring him into clinic and continue life as usual. Instead, I kept us at home. I had to work from home. I worked from 5am-7am while he had breakfast and played, we spent the day inside with a trip out for exercise and to get fo
